Again, and again, and again, this site has emphasized that the science of “propaganda,” and it is a science, developed by psychological, sociological and political scientists, is not to get people to believe that one thing happened instead of another, or that a person is lying about something that happened. No, the entire point of propaganda is to oppress a society to such a degree that they give up on the idea that real truth exists.

Anything involving people is ripe for propaganda. Take something as simple as a heated exchange between two people that is televised live. A fully developed propaganda program has the public believing that neither person believed what was said to begin with because everyone has an angle or an agenda, one or both might have been lying or projecting the opposite of their beliefs. It only gets worse (much worse) when that society hears the reports on what was said and why, or what it means. Everyone has an angle that they want to impose upon society. It gets infinitely worse in complicated situations like elections or something like January 6th.

You see how it works up and down the ladder. The commoners, the citizens that make up a country, give up on the entire idea that truth really exists, or that facts exist because the world is made up of people with nothing but agendas. (Obviously, when a volcano explodes, a volcano explodes, this isn’t to be taken too far).

We can see this happening right before our eyes when one of the representatives most suspected of playing a role in January 6th, Lauren Boebert (It’s 1776!) suggested to “Dr.” Sebastian Gorka, that she believes it’s entirely possible that it was the Democrats that might have planned January 6th. Gorka laughed, in part – this site believes – because he knew exactly what she was doing and was just chuckling at the ease with which this is done. Boebert is learning already.

The fact that Boebert’s assertion makes no sense whatsoever doesn’t matter. Propaganda (whether Boebert understands it or not) is not about Boebert convincing the audience that Democrats planned January 6th. It is about convincing the audience that it is impossible to know whether any part of January 6th was planned and definitely impossible to believe any reporting on whether it was or wasn’t, or who might have done it, because it’s all a mix of competing narratives from the beginning.

Watch Boebert masterfully (even if by accident) inject propaganda into the discussion, and listen closely as Gorka laughs, knowing that it’s a ridiculous assertion, but also knowing exactly why she’s making it.
