With respect to the hearing on January 6th, if Pence was the “quarterback” and they had “100” players on the team to send the votes back to the states for recounting (how did they know the recount would work in Trump’s favor?), then why did they need Steve Bannon to lead the troops up to the Capitol?
They had a procedural plan, the one above, according to Peter Navarro. It would all be semi-according to the Constitution. Not really. The Constitution required what Dan Quayle did, what Al Gore did, which is simply open the envelopes and verify that they are the votes sent by the states, not even whether they are the right count, just whether the votes in the envelope are the votes sent by the state or whether some diabolical person put the wrong votes in. Back in the days when it took a week to ride from Atlanta to Washington, when they wrote the constitution, maybe it was important to make sure it had the real state seal on them. Nowadays, it’s ceremonial.
But they had a plan, Pence was the QB and they had 100 people (the Senate and House) that were going to ensure that this thing got sent back to the states.
So… why is Steve Bannon the hero for bringing 10k people to break into the Capitol? Because that’s what Pete Navarro, ex-administration employee, said was the plan. (A lot of people knew about this plan, yes?) Why does he say Bannon is a hero?
Peter Navarro to Bannon: “You were the hero on J6, Steve. You were the guy who had the .. strategy to go up to Capitol Hill. Pence was the quarterback. We had 100 people working on the .. team who were going to make sure we remanded the results back to the battleground states.”

If they had a strategy, and it involved Pence sending things back, why did they need an army?
Could it possibly be because they knew that Pence wasn’t sending anything back to the states and they needed a threat that would get Pence out of the Capitol? Bannon led those people up to the Capitol to make that threat?
Sounds like it.
