The staff here understands your reaction. “They still have LGTBQ people in the MAGA party?” Yes, as remarkable as it may seem, men who pay attention to their attractiveness while staying well-read, and women who don’t care as much about how other women look in order to focus more upon the soul of the woman within, in addition to all in-between or just outside, do still make up a fraction of the MAGAs, although, we would certainly think we’re talking about a dwindling minority.

And for reasons passing understanding, they’ve invited the woman who isn’t attracted to anyone or thing other than herself and her money, Mel Trump. According to The Blade:

The event — which will take place Nov. 6 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla., marking a change of tradition in holding the dinner in D.C. — will likely mark an attempt for Melania Trump to develop her image as an LGBTQ ally and tamp down the reputation the Trump administration was hostile to LGBTQ people…

…Melania Trump’s work as First Lady, from helping children reach their full potential to championing a more inclusive Republican Party, has been historic,” Moran said. “Her vocal support of Log Cabin Republicans has been a signal to Republicans everywhere that it is possible to simultaneously be conservative and support equality under the law for all Americans.”

According to the Log Cabin Republicans, Melania Trump at the dinner will be awarded with the 2021 Spirit of Lincoln Award. Other high-profile Republicans in the past who have appeared at the annual event are Carly Fiorina, Newt Gingrich, Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker and Mary Cheney.

We have to congratulate them. The Log Cabin folks managed to pack more bullsh*t lies in three paragraphs than we thought possible. We love that they have to go to the Trumps rather than the other way around. That conversation went like this: “I will consider it if you pay the full price to rent out Mar-a-Lago, while also paying my normal speaking fee.” And we were unaware of the fact that the Log Cabin Republicans were solely a white organization because there’s no other way they could write “equality under the law” as modern Jim Crow voting rights spread throughout the south.

Citing Melania’s work? We knew that it took bravery to come out in the GOP, but to kiss ass like that? Very brave. But given past recipients of the award, Melania does seem right at home, though she’s definitely setting a new standard.

Also, the photo we chose was from July 4th when Melania wore a white dress with multi-colored stripes. Many people thought it was a shout-out to the LGBT community. However, it was a white dress and it rained, so the attention was on her chest, not whether the dress was a gay shout out.
