But he worked so hard, he humiliated his family, Grandpa and Grandma – two daily solid people – had to be despondent! Yet George P. Bush, the only Bush to go MAGA, and not a little MAGA, got crushed in the end. Trump stepped on P. Bush while Trump endorsed Ken Paxton.

George “P” Bush, son of Jeb, the guy who Trump regularly mocked, “Low energy Jeb” (Trump branded everyone) had to have some difficult moments at home. His parents and uncle are political to the bone and had to understand that there was only one way to the top in Texas and it ran through MAGA-land. They had to understand the dynamic. George P wasn’t winning without Trump. But that doesn’t mean they had to understand why he would run at all this year, this era, and not wait for a chance 6-8-10 years from now? When maybe the country would be looking for a way out from under Trump? The alternative is a nightmare, so we won’t mention it.

But for all intents and purposes, George P. was almost a symbolic Meghan McCain Trumper. There was nothing but animosity between the two families, especially when Trump talked about his uncle, President George W. Bush, and then his dad, how could he turn his back on his dad? His aunt, the wonderful Barbara Bush made sure Trump knew he wasn’t welcome at her funeral.

The other thing that was amazing was how badly George P. misread the political situation to begin with. He was running to replace Ken Paxton, the guy who filed the lawsuit that the SCOTUS dumped like bad yogurt. But at least he filed it! If Trump hadn’t backed Paxton, it would send a message to MAGA troops everywhere. Do not think for a second that bending over for Trump does on iota of good. Trump’s statement read, in part. Trump didn’t even put in a “George P. Bush is a great candidate, too, whose time will come someday,” nope. That’s not Trump’s style, there are winners and losers. Bush lost and he should’ve seen it coming.

With Trump, loyalty has always gone only one direction, but he still needs people willing to do his dirty work and Paxton did, filing a suit that might cost him his law license – which would suck for an “attorney” general.

Regardless, George P. Bush never had a chance. At least not after the lawsuit was filed. Not sure why he thought he did. Now he lost Trump and a lot of respect from the family.
