Working at sites like this hardens one. It takes something uniquely outrageous, ugly, dishonest, and cynical to really get us angry, and yet every one of us picked up on this tweet as far more outrageous than most.
Ronna McDaniel is a Romney (though she doesn’t share any family values with respect to Romney’s rejection of Trump) and, as said, she is as pure MAGA as it gets.
Today, McDaniel decided to address COVID and her “disappointment” in Biden’s failure to shut it down. This is one of the single most cynical political statements we’ve heard in a long time.
The single biggest reason COVID has not been “shutdown” was and remains Donald Trump, who eschewed masks from the very beginning, is proud that he ignored Dr. Fauci at every turn, has emphasized that vaccination should be a personal choice and, in an interview earlier this year, said without equivocating that he would not be getting a booster shot. “It’s just not for me.”
Donald Trump has reveled in the fact that his MAGAs refuse to get vaccinated, which forces the country to continue to suffer under COVID. Joe Biden’s first three months saw his goals met by nearly double! Biden matched the supply chain fixes with the smart people in this country that wanted the vaccinations. And then it slowed way down, waaayyy down.
Because there were some in this country, perhaps as many as one third, who will not get vaccinated for one primary reason. Joe Biden and Dr. Fauci said “Get Vaccinated.”
So for Ronna McDaniel to come out today and blame Biden for not “shutting down COVID” is one of the most outrageous, cynical, most bullsh*t thing to say as a political ploy.
Biden during the campaign: “I’m going to shut down the virus, not the country.”
Fauci today: “We may need to be more restrictive.”
Biden has failed.

Fck you. Seriously, we don’t say that lightly. She knows exactly why Biden has not “shut down” COVID and she knows exactly why we might need more restrictions. So many MAGAs went unvaccinated that there is now susceptibility to a variant that neither Biden nor Fauci saw coming.
Again, Fck you, Ronna. And we reserve that statement for only the most deserving occasions nowadays.
Twitter was rather pissed off:
We aren’t the problem, Ronna. Your desire to continue to feed the mob this garbage to save your job is killing your voters. The worst part is, you know that. pic.twitter.com/q4wq0UOROQ

Since he took office, nearly 6 million jobs have been created, over 200 million Americans are fully vaccinated, and unemployment claims are the lowest on average since 1969.

Thinking the trump administration did a good job managing covid is insane: they disbanded early response team, mangled closing travel from china/europe, were flatfooted on testing and PPE, politicized it/prioritized red states, spread misinformation and virus, then all caught it

It is impossible for normal people to even begin to process the evil reality that trump and kushner and pence and others in the administration actively mismanaged the pandemic to punish blue states and to try to keep it from hurting Trump’s campaign. That they lied and spread it

It's hard to shut down a virus when an entire party was on the side of the fucking virus and can't fucking coral the anti-vax beast they unleashed.
