The Bidens must have a thing for German Shepards. A lot of us have a thing for German Shepards, what we don’t have is a thing to live in big enough to accommodate a dog that weighs more than the daughter and could be close enough to future… we don’t have the room. But they are great dogs, as smart as they get, loyal, loving, and look out if you’re a bad guy.

In fact, that’s one thing that the dog lovers at this site (Every other staff member is a woman and all have dogs) have never figured out. If one’s “personal safety” was such a big deal to Lauren Boebert, why doesn’t she just get her own German Shepard to guard the house at night? We venture to say that most bad guys prefer to go make trouble at a house that doesn’t have a “woof” that sounds like it’s coming from a deep chest behind the door.

Besides, it is a fact that a dog is the only “weapon” ever created that cannot be turned on the owner?

The Bidens are dog people, too – and seem to intuitively know all this. While some of us name dogs after something in nature, the Bidens’ tradition seems to be military. Thus it was that they invited the new pup (old enough to be trained) home to the “Big House.”

President Joe Biden has welcomed a new addition to the family, a puppy named Commander.

Biden shared a photo Monday on his official Twitter account with a caption that said, “Welcome to the White House, Commander” as well as a brief video of him tossing a ball to Commander and walking the leashed dog into the White House.

No other details about the dog were provided.

The puppy appears to a German shepherd, the breed of Biden’s other two dogs, and was a gift to him from his family, according to CNN, which first reported on the puppy’s arrival after it was seen scampering around the White House South Lawn on Monday.
