“Fire Fauci” is now about the nicest thing that the MAGAs have said about him recently. It has now become “imprison” Fauci, or “jail Fauci.” (Has anyone noticed that the MAGAs really want to jail their opponents for no greater offense than being on the other side of the political spectrum? At least we name the crimes we want when we say jail the other).

As recently as this morning Dr. Fauci said that the government may have to consider some preventative measures due to Omicron’s contagiousness. (Thank God above that it does not seem to be as lethal as Delta. Of course, it can once again mutate. Indeed, we can be sure it will mutate again so long as it continues to circulate.)

So, the MAGAs see that some of their favorite sporting events are getting canceled due to yet another surge, but the idea of doing something about it is enough to… well, imprison Fauci. (Actually, they believe he lied to Congress about a subject that they couldn’t possibly understand without the same nine years of training that Fauci received, never mind experience. )

We suppose this doesn’t matter:

The National Football League on Friday said that it will postpone three games this weekend due to a surge in Covid-19 cases among players and as the new omicron variant of the virus makes inroads across the United States.

The move by the NFL, the first postponement of professional football games this season, comes as the National Hockey League said it will postpone games of several teams for the same reason, and days after the NBA postponed two games involving the Chicago Bulls due to a Covid outbreak that affected 10 players.

More than 100 NFL players reportedly have tested positive for the coronavirus in the past week.

You can believe that the leagues are implementing changes about eating together, masks during meetings, test more often. But ask the MAGAs to do anything more?

I’ll be celebrating Christmas with my family and we’ll sing hallelujah whether Anthony Fauci likes it or not.

Thanks, Senator. Almost the exact same attitude as the pro teams that were going stick it out together and now can’t sing or play. But, yeah – do what you want. Unbelievable.
