Jenna Ryan, a popular social media influencer and real estate agent, was a known participant in the January 6 riots at the Capitol. Her social media gives evidence to that. On the way to the riots, she tweeted she was “going to war”, and afterwards, she tweeted that she would not be arrested because she was blonde, white, and had a “great future”.

Let’s just say she’s most likely come to regret that tweet.

These tweets came back to haunt her as she has now been sentenced to 60 days in prison for her participation in the siege, despite her confidence that she would not face any consequences for her actions. In fact, it was her social media presence that ultimately led to her sentencing.

That sentencing took place Thursday morning, and it will most likely set a precedent for any following court cases for those who were also present at the Capitol on January 6. Her tweet, in which she said she was “definitely not going to jail”, will also be a reminder to the general public that what you say on social media can impact your future.

U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper, who delivered her sentence, told WUSA9 that the decision should “show them we take attacking democratic institutions seriously.” In other words, Ryan’s sentence was set as an example to others that participating in the January 6 insurrection was a crime that will not be overlooked.

Ryan’s flagrantly aggressive tones that she took on in her tweets, both leading up to and following January 6, reveal just how confident Trump supporters are that their white supremacist attitudes will be mirrored by their government’s justice system. By sentencing Ryan to prison, that system takes a step in the right direction toward proving them wrong.

And of course blondie blamed the media, since conversations have serious issues taking responsibilities for their actions:
