For everyone who enjoys a fulfilling life centered upon children or grandchildren, exercise, reading the classics, yoga, and volunteering at the dog shelter, we at this site feel somewhat obligated to tell you that Donald Trump has found the most effective means yet around his Twitter ban.
To be sure, Trump no longer has his 80 million followers (Perhaps 40 million of which were actual people!), indeed, Trump is truly slumming it by having to post his “Official Statement from the Office of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump” – usually 20 words or less – through his new “Spokesperson,” Liz Harrington. It seems as though Harrington’s most compelling qualification for the job is retaining a functioning Twitter account, one that could be closed down any day now, given it’s a vehicle to get around the ban.
Fortunately for Twitter, Liz only has 240K followers, 100K of which may even be actual people, and thus it is possible that Twitter hasn’t noticed that Trump has found a loophole. Perhaps Twitter is just letting it go because they don’t want to play “Whack-a-Mole” for the next ten years, slamming people who volunteer to post Trump’s “official statements.”
Not that these are real statements anyway. Generally, they are simple tweets. But today he sank to a new low. Today saw a former president of the United States put out an “Official Statement from the Office of…” that contained nothing but a political cartoon.
We admit this cartoon was likely too much for Trump to resist. It has it all. Trump is upset with General Milley who, on Milley’s own, determined he would take a few cautious steps to slow down Trump should Trump have decided to spend his last week as president initiating global thermonuclear war as the biggest fck-you of all time. The cartoon has criticism of Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, which would have gone perfectly under Trump, or so Trump says. And it also knocks the “woke” movement.
How could Trump resist? Thus it is, we have a political cartoon as an “Official Statement from the Office of…”

At times, we’ve all wondered whether Trump knows what it’s like to feel embarrassed. And then we remember, he lost to Joe Biden.
