Some way, somehow, we are going to make this story politically relevant. Or, it is Friday and it’s a TGIF gift because this story truly is a gift from the heavens. It is just too much fun to think about Trump doing his own makeup with his favorite flattering little mirror.

We should make this clear, we’re not opposed to, nor mocking men who wear makeup if it helps them with their self-esteem and they like it, not at all. Let everyone express themselves however they want, within reason. No, we laugh because Trump would be the very first person mocking someone else for such a departure from norms, such a “wussy” thing, Trump would mention it every other sentence. It is also delicious to know that he favored one mirror that was “skinny.”

And how typical that germaphobe, Donald Trump, won’t allow anyone to touch his face but refused to mask up and nearly died of COVID. The politically relevant part is that Trump will put the nation through such danger that we lost, literally, hundreds of thousands because of his own vanity. Regardless, we now hear about his routine from Pence’s former communications director, Alyssa Farah. From The Hill:

Farah, who served as the White House communications director before resigning in December 2020, said the 45th president usually would do his own makeup, and she was never enlisted for touch-ups because “you don’t touch the Donald Trump face.”

Trump was even so impressed by a particularly flattering mirror that he had it schlepped to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

“We always have roughly the same mirror that we have backstage, but there was one time we were backstage, and for whatever reason, he particularly liked the mirror, I guess the way it was positioned,” Farah recalled.

“He turns to me, he says, ‘Look at this. This is a skinny mirror,’ he says,” she continued.  

“Take this back to the White House,'” Trump told her. “We used it [at] every event.”

It is just further proof of Trump’s duality and hypocrisy. He loves to mock anything different about anyone else, and would do so of any opponent, but he’ll do anything in the name of his own vanity. There, we got it.
