Sweet baby jeezus with an alcohol swab and a bandage, will Peter Doocy ever learn that he is just far better off asking a question that his Fox audience cares about rather than playing a daily game of “Gotcha” in which, Jen Psak, toys with Peter like an uncaring cat and a half dead mouse?

After a month of unmasked White House Christmas parties, which – as anyone could have, and did, predict, would become super spreader events such that even the president of the United States, the most protected man on earth, was nearly killed because he thought he needed to look tough and unshakable, right up until he was loaded onto an SUV and taken to Walter Reed, where he dropped his bag and staggered in, all to toughly die (as we now hear it), Doocy wanted to ask about the recklessness of the president before TFG.

Today, Peter Doocy “worried” that President Obama is sending the wrong message by having a big birthday party when the delta variant of COVID is so serious.”

Psaki handled this one even more easily than most – and that’s saying something:

She referred Doocy to President Obama’s team, sure that there were plenty of safety protocols in place (like mostly inviting Democrats, everyone vaccinated is a great place to start!). She mentioned Obama has been a huge advocate of people being vaccinated, (Unlike *Aham, *Cough, the tepid response from TFG), She also reminded Doocey the event is outdoors and in a moderate zone. There are even testing requirements. (Not done at Mar-a-Lago that we know of).

She then referred Doocy to Obama’s spokespeople.

Doocy simply wouldn’t give up. He noted that the CDC has said that even vaccinated people can pass along the delta variant. So, wasn’t Obama actually holding a super spreader event?

To put this in context, within a month from now, the University of Alabama, the state with one of the least vaccinated populations in the country, will play its first home football game with no restrictions in the stadium. There will be 100,000 people jammed in, all cheering loudly. Doocy is worried about a birthday party. Perhaps he’s worried that Obama is so popular that 200,000 will show up. It could happen.

Psaki point out – again – that the new guidance applied to indoor spaces and that the birthday party was being held outside and that they were following the protocols.

DOOCY WOULD NOT GIVE UP: “So people at home see Obama have a birthday party with two hundred people there and wouldn’t they believe it is okay for them to have their party.” To which, Jen could have simply said, “No MAGA has 200 friends, Peter,” but did not.

Instead, she said: “Well, we certainly encourage everyone to follow the public health guidelines, and the former president is a huge advocate of vaccinations and following the guidelines.

As per usual, Doocy came with his doozer of a question and simply left as a typical loser. Kids, don’t play Gotcha with a pro, you’ll done get “got” every time.
