There are few things that break one’s heart more easily nowadays than seeing kids intermixed with anti-maskers. Whether we report on an obituary about a person who left young kids behind, or just kids standing next to healthy parents, the kids are the innocent victims. (Well, them and those of us who have been vaccinated, but got to go through the awful delta variant breakthrough, which is as much fun as the worst flu you’ve ever had). Those who die are sad cases, we don’t wish them death, but they damn well make us angry.

It makes us angry that we should be at 75% vaccinated by now and very close to herd immunity. It makes us angry that wearing a mask is not like being asked to stay inside and do nothing.

It makes us even angrier to see healthy and alive parents screaming about masks when – as everyone knows – Florida and the Southeast are currently overrun with COVID, almost all of it is the delta variant, which is fundamentally different than the original coronavirus. Some people have it in their heads that any time they’re outside, they don’t have to worry about COVID, but again – they truly don’t understand that they’re not even dealing with the old dangerous COVID, the new one doesn’t play by the same rules.

In the first go-round with COVID we primarily worried about grandparents and great grandparents. Even with the MAGAs, that population is near-universally vaccinated. Now we worry about parents and we worry about breakthrough cases, which – take it from one who’s experienced it, is not “a cold” (as they often reference it). So you know see this and… We tend to think it’s all online, then you see this and it’s just eye-popping…

We just reported a story on SS and swastika hats for sale at the Sturgis rally. Like those, these images are simply unthinkable without Donald Trump’s presence on this earth, which will live on until it dies off, and in these cases, we mean literally.

But those kids… someone help those poor kids, they don’t know!
