Matt Gaetz’s future sister in law, presuming the wedding goes forward – and that’s a somewhat dicey proposition at this point, is not at all a Gaetz fan. She created a TikTok video that emerged yesterday in which she spared no punches, and why would she? If her sister stays with Gaetz, it will do nothing more than cement the estrangement between the two, one that seems based almost solely upon Gaetz’s attempts to draw the sister into his circle.

According to The Daily Beast, Roxanne Luckey, the sister of Ginger Luckey, Gaetz’s fiance, eviscerated Gaetz on TikTok for his treatment of young women, She said, “unfortunately, [she] was not surprised” when she heard that Gaetz was under federal investigation for s*x crimes. (We must use a lot of asterisks to get through various platforms in this one).

She also slammed him as “weird,” “creepy,” and a “literal pe*doph*le.” On that last allegation, we desperately need to clear up something that the media has repeatedly gotten wrong and it is getting out of hand. A p*doph*le is a specific psychological condition that applies to those most monstrous people who prey upon prepubescent girls and boys. Those who prey upon post-pubescent are r*pists. It doesn’t make either less serious, it’s just a separate definition.

Now, we get back to creepy, even though this incident isn’t criminal:

In one video Monday night, Roxanne Luckey told a story about Gaetz pressuring an older man to court her when she was 19. Roxanne Luckey called the move “weird and creepy”—and claims Gaetz yelled at her and her mother and went “full lawyer” when she confronted him.

Right, because the only thing that mattered to Gaetz in that situation was the fact that he wouldn’t end up in prison for that sick attempt and wanted to lawyer his way out of anger. Hey, it’s all legal, right? Never mind disgusting and wrong.

According to Luckey’s account, the older man was “creepy” and repeatedly made her feel uncomfortable, even after she rejected his advances and told him she had a boyfriend. She noted that when the man later apologized, he passed the blame for his aggressive overtures onto Gaetz.

“Sorry about what I said, I just wanted to get Matt off my back,” Luckey claimed the unnamed man said.

This is the male version of “she was asking for it, it’s her fault.” He just blamed Matt, though to be sure, Matt does bear some blame. No one made the man hit on her. He could’ve told Matt he was a sick jerk and that he wasn’t interested.

What is stunning is that Gaetz remains popular among the MAGA right and it’s hard to determine whether it is because they don’t hear about the allegations in the RW media, whether they hear and don’t believe it, or whether they hear and simply don’t care because Gaetz is one of the “good guys” – obviously, since he works so hard for Trump.

Gaetz is not a good guy. Good guys do not seek out power imbalances in relationships, legal or not. Real men want real women because those are the only real relationships, the only ones really worth having.

The other thing to note is that so long as a MAGA remains undying in their faith in Trump, that person will remain untouchable, socially and politically. We do not believe he is untouchable legally, and just hope this ends the way it should end. Fathers of teen girls everywhere have nightmares about these things.
