Ummm.

Eric Swalwell is without a doubt one of the most up-and-coming members of the Democratic party. If he was from a smaller state than California, he would be automatic for the Senate and may be anyway, (But Cal needs diversity, Cal IS diversity), he could be Governor of California someday and though he took a half-swing at the Democratic nomination for president this last run, it won’t be his last and the next one will be backed by power players.

Swalwell is that good and he’s that young. He has plenty of time to continue to develop. He is also absolutely fearless.

“Tonight,” the night of January 6th (you may be reading this on the 7th of January), Swalwell put out the tweet of the day-week-month. He issued a statement that is 100% true, and yet goes directly against the decorum we normally expect from Democrats in Congress.

But decorum sort of goes out the window when referencing an insurrection that the other party doesn’t even recognize as such. MAGAs in Congress see it as patriotic, at least outwardly. Attacking the Capitol to steal an election that every single one of them (except maybe Marj and Gohmert), every single one, knows Trump lost, and acting as though an attack on the Capitol is no big deal is not the usual Congressional decorum, so if there was ever a night…

Eric Swalwell had the courage to write this TRUTH:

There are too many Republicans in Congress who, had they not been serving on the House Floor on January 6, would have been on the other side of the Chamber’s door. That’s the challenge we face. The violence is coming from within. #VotesOverViolence

Should Kamala Harris Run for President in 2028?

THAT, is the truth, and gaw-damn, he said it!

And here’s another thing. He knows it’s the truth. Like he knows, and it makes us wonder if he’s letting some of those MAGAs in the House know that he knows… that perhaps he knows that not only were there members of the House cooperating, helping, assisting, in on the plot, but he knows who. And is trying to scare them?

Cheney to Jim Jordan: “You fcking did this!!”

As we’ve always said, the “You” in that sentence is awfully personal, there are so many other ways to put that sentence, it sounds FAR more natural to say “You guys” – meaning Republicans. She said “You” – singular, the guy she was speaking to – and we think she knows Jordan played a role, and knew it on January 6th 2021. It is possible that a highly popular (Swalwell’s a good looking guy, too – we’re sure he hears a lot because a lot of people want to talk to him) representative might well know FAR more than the public and just cannot say it. Yet.

It is highly unlikely that out of over 200 House members, there would only be one member (Jordan) having a role in the insurrection. So it makes us wonder. Not only did Swalwell tell a much-needed truth. Was he also sending a message to a select group of… oh, maybe dozen, that he knows about them?

Damn. We want to think so. So we will. Either way, that is the most ass-kicking, truthful tweet we’ve seen in a long time:
