What a fcking asshole. It was an assessment some could make upon reading about Trump in a Vanity Fair article in 1991, and some did, and it’s an assessment someone could make based on January 6th alone. Trump so “got off” on people fighting in his name that he rewound it, to rewatch parts, like Michael Jordan would rewind hitting the game-winning shot at Utah with the flu and a temp of 102.

This is who Trump is. This is the guy that couldn’t care less about the nation, and what that day meant to us as a country, or 200 plus years of hard-fought tradition, millions of deaths to keep this country on track as a free democracy, and was just orgasmic about people fighting for him. Oh, and not caring about the people getting hurt.

Stephanie Grisham described Trump’s day and much more on CNN this morning, starting with her expectations:

“I think that, regardless if they can bring charges against the former president, I think that the select committee is going to show, you know, irrefutable proof he [Trump] was behind this, it was these people believing in everything he said.”

And THAT is, in and of itself, a lot. Remember, Trump thrives on secrecy, not just skating away, always avoiding responsibility. IF the secrecy is gone and it’s shown he was behind it, it’s a loss for Trump. Not the biggest loss, but a loss anyway.

“So, perhaps there won’t be criminal charges. But morally I think this country is going to see what went wrong and then we just all have to come together and never, ever, ever let it happen again.”

That is less up to Trump and more up to do with the people of the country.

At that point, Berman jumped in:

“Look, one of the crucial questions about the insurrection is what happened during the 187 minutes before Donald Trump decided to ask the people who were behind us here to leave the Capitol. Do you know specifically who pleaded with Trump to stop the violence during the attack? Ivanka, [House Minority Leader] Kevin McCarthy. Who else?”

And now get ready because you are about to near explode:

“I don’t know specifically. I know Mrs. Trump did not, so there’s that. You know, all I know about that day is he was in the dining room, gleefully watching on his TV as he often did, ‘look at all of the people fighting for me,’ hitting rewind, watching it again. That’s what I know.”

Mother ffffffff!!!!

That’s what he gets off on! He is watching a country destroy itself, but because it’s destroying itself for him, it’s the coolest thing in his life, not knowing just how awful a person it takes to destroy over 200 years of flawed but working democracy, ONE PERSON. To be that oblivious to everyone else on Earth (literally) and so absorbed into your own persona is sick beyond…

So ironic, his “theme song” is God Bless the USA that talks about fighting to defend a nation, not a man.

And if there was ever any doubt that Trump would ship people off in railway cars to be destroyed, just as another monster did, it should be gone now. IF he thought he’d get away with it, and IF it helped him immensely, there seems to be nothing in his “soul” that would stop him.

Nothing.
