Now, if we could just get Spotify and YouTube to do the same with Joe Rogan, we’d be getting somewhere. As was bound to happen sooner or later (thankfully it occurred sooner), Twitter has permanently suspended Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal account for spreading COVID-19 misinformation.
As first reported by CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, Twitter released a statement that read:
“We permanently suspended Marjorie Taylor Greene for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy. We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy.”
Majorie cannot complain that this came out of nowhere. In March, Twitter said it would permanently suspend accounts that repeatedly post COVID-19 vaccine misinformation.
A Twitter spokesperson:
"We permanently suspended… @mtgreenee… for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy. We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy."

As you might imagine, Marj released a statement full of “whadabouts”:
“When Maxine Waters can go to the streets and threaten violence on Twitter, Kamala and Ilhan can bail out rioters on Twitter, and Chief spokesman for terrorist IRGC can tweet mourning Soleimani but I get suspended for tweeting VAERS statistics, Twitter is an enemy to America and can’t handle the truth. That’s fine, I’ll show America we don’t need them and it’s time to defeat our enemies,
Come on, Marj. You begged them to do it. Yesterday, Marj decided to kickoff the new year with a 17 tweet thread full of gibberish and lies about COVID, any number of which would have qualified her for suspension.
And this one is permanent. This is her third strike, so she is out. This is the Trump ban, she will never be welcomed back. Though there is one caveat. She still has use of her @RepMTG. For now.
