Brandon Brown, the guy who unofficially and unknowingly started off the whole “let’s go Brandon,” thing once said that he wasn’t “political” and didn’t want anything to do with the anti-Biden meme that came about after his interview with a reporter who misheard the chanting of a pro-Trump crowd. (We aren’t sure she entirely “misheard” the crowd, it seemed half and half to us).

Maybe that was back when he thought half his money would be coming from Democrats but now has the opportunity to get a bunch more from the LGB crowd.

Not political?

Umm, there are new pictures out showing Brown standing in front of his No. 68 Chevrolet Camaro with the red-white-and-blue paint livery and an ad that includes “LGBcoin.io,” the official name of a new cryptocurrency coin, arising out of this, across the rear quarter-panel.

According to USA Today:

A partnership between NASCAR driver Brandon Brown and a cryptocurrency coin named after the “Lets go Brandon” meme, a coded vulgar insult of President Biden, appeared to be in limbo on the same day the deal was announced.

Max Marcucci, a PR strategist who represents the racecar driver and Brandonbilt Motorsports, said NASCAR provided written approval of the car’s paint scheme and sponsorship for the upcoming season of the Xfinity Series, NASCAR’s second tier.

“We didn’t freelance this,” he told USA TODAY Sports, referring to NASCAR’s rules.

But after Brown’s team announced the agreement on Thursday, with a news release along with video and photos of the car, NASCAR informed Brown’s team it still is reviewing the details, according to Marcucci.

First of all, NASCAR can say they are reviewing it all they want. It is unlikely that Brown went ahead with it without checking with NASCAR first. Perhaps only now, seeing the obviousness of it, is NASCAR having second thoughts.

Second, a cryptocurrency? Sure sounds to us like another way to grift the MAGAs. It will never end so long as they survive.
