There are very serious rumors flying on the net right now. On the one hand, you have Ron DeSantis’s Twitter account sending out stuff like this from Thursday:

On the other hand, there is this response, and it is backed up:

Should Kamala Harris Run for President in 2028?

So why is Ron DeSantis putting out tweets today about some meaningless stop at a bagel place that actually took place over two weeks ago? Because he hasn’t been seen in 15 to 17 days. (Depends upon who you ask).

To be sure, DeSantis has some reasons of late to keep a low profile, it is not often that a governor is publicly accused of sleeping with FOUR interns (affairs with grown adult women, yes – interns, not as much):

So he would likely want to keep a low profile while hoping that the “rumors” regarding the interns fade away… if they do.

Additionally, it is the holidays. But a governor is, in a way, like the president of the state and even the president of the United States is limited in what he can do for a state. The law leaves some state issues up to the governor alone and requires the governor to act. Even when on vacation, even over the holidays, a governor is not “really” on vacation, especially if an emergency arises. If DeSantis is in Bali he can still sign emergency orders, answer the fcking phone, issue executive orders, and do other things to prove he’s in charge and following any potential emergency.

An emergency has arisen in Florida, it is awash in COVID, the Omicron variety (as is the case everywhere). Ron DeSantis has not been effective in fighting COVID but resources must be moved, signatures are required, and it’s not getting done.

Now that is odd. It is just as odd as DeSantis doing the same thing yesterday:

Notice no date? To save space, we simply quote another response:

You stopped by there 12 days ago. Such a lying, un-democratic weak governor. You are killing us and taking away our rights and freedoms. You will never win.

So why is DeSantis backdating tweets and putting them out when no one has actually seen him in 15 to 17 days?

The raging rumor is that he has COVID and – if so – perhaps he has a serious case, otherwise, why not announce it and do your job from home? This is also a man who has been evasive about whether he was ever vaccinated. Is it possible that Ron DeSantis is very ill and it is being covered up? Or is it possible that Ron DeSantis got COVID and gave it to his wife – who has cancer and may be immuno-compromised, and is covering that up?

We don’t know. We repeat, we DO NOT KNOW – for all we know he’s ignoring everything because he happens to love his wife who is currently divorcing him over the intern rumor. We have NO information on why DeSantis is missing. But the rumor is red hot:

WE DO NOT KNOW. We are merely reporting that DeSantis has not been seen. We are reporting that his state desperately needs things done. We are reporting that he is account is tweeting stuff from weeks ago, but nothing about what happened last week, which seems like a very forced attempt to prove he’s out and about and nothing’s wrong. And we are reporting that the net is full of rumors that he has COVID and may be extremely sick. Because if he was just lying in bed with a fever, he could pretend he’s at home with family for the holidays, running the state, and sending out current tweets about who needs to be doing what and what he will sign and when.

But he’s not doing that. There are very few explanations. One explanation makes a lot of sense but it is just a rumor.
