It’s been a busy week for Candace Owens — she’s involved in a very public brawl with Meghan McCain, after all, and now she’s all up in it over Donald Trump and recent advocacy for COVID vaccines.

Owens is a well-known right-wing media personality, and on Thursday she urged supporters not to give the former president a hard time over his support for the vaccines, Raw Story reports.

She even posted a video on social media where she explained Trump is an “old” person who came from a time where people believed the advice of medical experts.

“People oftentimes forget that, like, how old Trump is,” she said. “He comes from a generation — I’ve seen a lot of people who are older, have the same exact perspective, like they came from a time before TV, before internet, before being able to conduct independent research (like perhaps the University of YouTube, maybe?) And everything they read that was in a newspaper that was pitched to them, they believed that that was a reality.”

So according to Owens, people from this time were automatons who basically rubbed sticks together to make a fire and then sacrificed a goat or something to the gawd of their choice. At least that’s the way she makes it sound anyway.

But Trump has lived his whole life in the age of TV, and during his presidency, he continually derided journalists and told his followers not to believe what they read in newspapers.

And Owens also went on to say that Trump’s trust in vaccinations is the reason he isn’t paying attention to all the videos posted on Rumble, a right-wing website that supposedly “document” instances of “vaccine injury.” Because, you know, Rumble is so goldurned “factual.”

In a story I wrote last October, Owens, who’s about as rabidly anti-vax as you can get, accused Australia of turning into a “totalitarian regime,” and “police state,” because the country has adopted strict vaccine mandates.

I suggested at the time that this woman needs a Xanax. Quite obviously she still does. Here’s what she has to say in the video below.
