It is highly likely that all of us at one point in time or another bought a simple toy while dashing through Target or Walmart and gave it to the Fireman/Cops/National Guard – whichever public service unit does the Toys for Tots drive in your community. We have all done it, we’re all happy to be in a position to do it.

None of us film ourselves doing it to promote just how great we are. And none of us would ever, ever, be so shameless as to purchase some sort of toy that was, in some form or fashion, a testament to ourselves, something self-promoting. In fact, you couldn’t pay most of us to buy some self-promotion thing and “donate” it.

But Don Jr. is not like us and, indeed, he will allow people to pay him to promote himself (and his family). We have to lay this out very clearly so people can catch each craven step.

Don Jr. first puts out a video wherein he is buying Toys for Tots. Charity isn’t charity if one is doing it for self-promotion. Second, the toy that he is purchasing is some kind of “drone president” – we found it,

And as if that was not bad enough, Junior then goes on to prove he’s actually getting paid to be “charitable,” by telling people to avoid “shipping problems” (how does one avoid shipping problems by buying online?) and simply going to Hobbytron.com and getting the toy. It is a commercial, and either Trump owns Hobbytron or is getting a cut because the giveaway is “just go to hobbytron.com and avoid the hassle… “

Toys for Tots is great and we’ve all done it. We don’t film ourselves being charitable, and we don’t expect people to pay us while being charitable, but we’re not Trumps. This guy is:

Only a Trump. But at least this time Junior isn’t sweating, stammering, and grinding his teeth. That’s one thing.
