Kyle Rittenhouse is a bona fide celebrity in MAGA world, which is pretty damn sick if you think about it. They are celebrating a “kid” who “defended” himself, ending two lives, two liberal lives – that’s the key.
Even Rittenhouse had to calm down some of the celebrity status stuff just a day ago when he appeared on the Blaze: The Blaze podcast You Are Here, co-host Sydney Watson said that what Rittenhouse did was “kind of impressive,” adding that Rittenhouse “probably got two of the worst on the planet.”
“Congratulations,” Watson told Rittenhouse. “Good job, you.”
Two of the worst on the planet? What! All Watson is talking about are liberals and it is open season on liberals according to some of them.
Even Rittenhouse responded that what he did “Nothing to be congratulated about. If I could go back, I wish I would never have had to take somebody’s life.”
“Hindsight being 20/20, probably not the best idea to go down there. Can’t change that, but I defended myself and that’s what happened,”
Now, how much of that answer came from his PR team, and how much came from Kyle Rittenhouse? He had to have been terrified during his trial, even awaiting the trial, and it might’ve changed the way he sees the world. Perhaps the “congratulations” really does sort of hit him the wrong way.
On the other hand, this is a kid who seems to be doing all he can to take advantage of his stardom, including a fight to keep his bail money, the two million donated to him. If he was truly moved by what happened, and scared straight, he would’ve taken his lawyer’s advice, go home, and lay low.
Instead, he’s been on every show available, and despite the fact that the students at Arizona State University are protesting his entrance, he is making noise about attending Arizona State “on campus,” rather than the online classes he had been doing:
Remember, Kyle has a PR team. He is a “brand” to them now. pic.twitter.com/IyTDosu1te

Doesn’t sound like a kid that has had much of a change in heart if he’s had one at all.
