No, this one doesn’t surprise us. It is, however, yet another window into a very dark soul. The only time that Trump cares about COVID is when he can use it against Joe Biden. And that is why people are still dying. It is a fact that Biden could have all but eradicated death by COVID, and was almost double the aggressive pace he set. Then something happened.

As Biden became more aggressive about how well the program was going, the true MAGAs became far more resistant to getting the vaccine. Interesting, isn’t it? The correlation really can’t be denied. From mid-March to mid-April, it looked like the distribution was going to make it such that we could have a normal Fourth of July.

Had Trump wanted, he could’ve done a PSA “Get the Trump vaccine! We need MAGA strong! We did Operation Warp Speed to Save You but I NEED You. So get the Vaccine!!!”

And it would basically be over because then MAGAs could get vaccinated and thank Trump. But it was more valuable to Trump to have it go badly for Biden.

Today Trump put out a statement – see if he almost sounds proud – about COVID still ravaging the (unvaccinated) people in society:

“I thought Joe Biden was “put in office” to eradicate the Coronavirus, despite the fact that he previously had failed so badly with the H1N1 pandemic. Well, I guess that didn’t work out too well because it was just announced that we’ve had more cases than ever before. The only difference is, the Fake News doesn’t like reporting the real facts. They are the enemy of the people and more dishonest than they have ever been before.”

“Failed so badly with H1N1? And Trump succeeded so well with COVID?

Not that it really matters, but there was an article in the Washington Post today that discussed how a super-computer had been used to evaluate positive coverage versus negative coverage and – remarkably, Biden received more negative coverage in the last 10 months than Trump received in his last 10 months, which is an incredible stat given what happened during Trump’s last year as president.
