WE WARN YOU THAT THE VIDEO BELOW IS DISTURBING TO WATCH:
Sometimes we at this site hesitate about including video of any “one” moment because one can find video of anyone from any side of anything acting like a jackass.
But we are willing to post isolated videos when demonstrative of something bigger, something that feels like it’s “growing” in society, and not just because everyone has a camera on their phone nowadays. We believe it is very safe to say that the type of behavior you will see below would not have happened 20 years ago, not because racism didn’t exist 20 years ago, but because it was not allowed to be as “proud and open” as it is now, in the age of MAGA.
Obviously, this is a very troubled girl. First of all, we see her hit the teacher – a teacher who happens to be black – and, it seems to us that at that moment when she hits the teacher, it becomes a crime (She looks to be close to 18, though it’s hard to tell). From there, she demands to use the teacher’s desk phone, the school’s phone, and then uses it anyway when told “no,” she picks it up and uses it anyway, which could also be considered a crime.
But then she calls her mother and it all makes “sense,” as to why this girl is so mad. She is in trouble – for something, we don’t know what – and that is upsetting to her because the teacher is “black” and therefore lesser than her, and she shouldn’t have to put up with the trouble. “Do you want to talk to her?”
Whatever mom said, the student didn’t like it because she then threw the headset, hard, at the teacher. It is stunning and deeply disturbing. The internet exploded:
“Do you wanna talk to her cuz she’s Black and she’s pissing me off right now” pic.twitter.com/YlBCfeOqhO

To be fair, the one 14 year old available for comment said that not only has she never seen anything like that, she could never have imagined something like that. “When we’re at school, teachers are like ‘God.'”
Kids aren't born racist.
They have to be taught to hate. There's a disturbing increase in the number of hateful kids nowadays. https://t.co/44CYq1H1LQ

Apparently not to some racists with black teachers.

We agree, that this is as much about society as it is parenting.
Children are also brought up not understanding "privilege". https://t.co/WOQlUBOqSl

As someone that graduated from this school, yes…racism is taught, from the subtle to the overt and it has to end. https://t.co/mCDBAvTwqy

This student should be expelled. No teacher should ever be disrespected in the classroom. Her family has failed her 100% https://t.co/t1kTIW1hSe

Of course, Texas. This kid may have been taught to be a racist, but she's old enough to learn better. https://t.co/fP5tLN9HO8
