Summer Zervos, a former contestant on The Apprentice who accused Donald Trump of s*xual harassment dropped her lawsuit against the former president last weekend, Mediaite reports.
According to a filing in Manhattan’s Supreme Court last Friday, the suit was dismissed and discontinued with prejudice. This means Zervos can’t file the complaint in the same state. It also means all parties are responsible for paying their own legal expenses.
Zervos is one of a number of women who have alleged that Trump committed acts of s*xual harassment or worse, Mediaite notes. Zervos had alleged Trump groped her and kissed her against her will during her time on The Apprentice in 2007.
A statement released by her attorneys Beth Wilkinson and Moira Penza notes that “Ms. Zervos no longer wishes to litigate against the defendant and has secured the right to speak freely about her experience.”
“Ms. Zervos stands by the allegations in her complaint,” Wilkinson and Penza added.
Well, good. I hope she sings like a bird about it.
The lawsuit alleged that Trump defamed Zervos by calling her a “liar” who was saying “totally made-up stuff,” and by claiming accusations made by women against him “fake news” and a “hoax.”
And of course, Trump being the misogynistic a-hole that he is, couldn’t help but rejoice in an email where he repeated his claims:
“The lawsuit brought by a woman who made up false accusations against President Trump for publicity or money has just been dropped in its totality,” he wrote. “The Fake News Media totally and completely distorted the facts — they are corrupt. President Trump has been totally vindicated. No money of any kind, or legal fees, were paid by President Trump, who stated, ‘It is so sad when things like this can happen, but so incredibly important to fight for the truth and justice. Only victory can restore one’s reputation.”
While Trump is now acting all sanctimonious about this, let’s remember the s*xual misconduct allegations against him that are still out there. Enough so that even the Michigan Journal of Gender and Law has reported on it. There’s been so many women who have accused him of s*xual misconduct. My guess is none of this is “fake news.” No matter what Trump says.
NEW!

Even so, Trump’s attorney, Alina Habba, told Reuters in an email that “Ms. Zervos made the prudent decision to voluntarily drop her case without the exchange of any compensation or attorneys’ fees.”
“The facts unearthed in this matter made it abundantly clear that our client did nothing wrong,” Habba added.
But there’s another defamation waiting in the wings for Trump, thanks to E. Jean Carroll. In September, Trump lost his bid to block the lawsuit.
Trump blathers on about “truth and justice” when he bends both of these things to suit his needs whenever he wants. It’s a huge relief that he’s out of office and let’s hope he never gets in again.

Twitter was very skeptical:
Appears she was intimidated into withdrawing her suit, under Trump’s threats of bringing an anti-SLAPP case against her.
Looks like the NDA was dropped, as Summer Zervos “has secured the right to speak freely about her experience.”
Appears a book deal could be the consolation. https://t.co/oeh261sZLI— Marie ᴿᵘˡᵉ ᵒᶠ ᴸᵃʷ (@AuCaDoMom) November 12, 2021
Summer Zervos, the woman who Trump accosted when she was a contestant on The Apprentice, finally gave up her lawsuit after 5 year of litigation. Now, she is free to talk about her experiences and let the world know what type of sociopath Trump really is.

That wording sounds suspiciously like a settlement has been reached

After Summer Zervos dropped her defamation lawsuit, Trump said in a statement that it was “important to fight for TRUTH and JUSTICE”
Give me a break… the world’s biggest liar fights for TRUTH and JUSTICE!
Not a chance in hell. Trump himself didn’t pay her off. But someone did!

Why isn’t anybody talking about Summer Zervos dropping her defamation lawsuit against Trump? I mean she has been fighting this for five years and all of a sudden she drops it? Right before he was about to be deposed? Something smells fishy!!!
