Of the things that Donald Trump needs to “take care of,” the jackasses that were the direct cause of January 6th are not high on the list. Indeed, we at this site would much prefer to see someone else take care of Trump and the others who might have been the proximate cause of January 6th, the ultimate underlying cause. The Q-Shaman guy can chill for a little over three years and think about it.
(By the way, Good F’ing luck to those January 6ers who were very vi0lent with the police. If the Shaman got three years, just wait till your turn comes around).
Speaking of the Q-Shaman, or Jacob Chansley, as he now prefers to be called, his lawyer happened to be interviewed outside the courtroom after having being leveled pretty resolutely by the federal judge on sentencing. Albert Watkins had a few things to say about Donald Trump and his role on January 6th.
First, he mentioned that Chansley had Asperger’s syndrome, which made him, particularly, vulnerable to Trump’s propaganda. Depending upon whether that diagnosis goes back before the arrest, this fact may be true and may mitigate a harsh sentence.
Mr. Watkins has also said (according to Talking Points Memo); “A lot of these defendants, I’m going to use the colloquial term, perhaps disrespectfully, they’re all fucking short-bus people. These are people with brain damage, they’re fcking retarded… Fck, they were subject to four years of gaw-damned propaganda the likes of which the world has not seen since Hitler.
Wrong.
Some were stupid (we won’t use re*arded), some never got out of the house, some were basement types, but not all. “Some” knew exactly what they were doing and why. There were also many above them that knew exactly what they were doing and exactly why they were doing it.
Above is the first statement about Trump having to get out and take care of these people and below the criticism of the propaganda:

We probably could have said it better ourselves, and been more accurate, but he hit most of the high points.
