Kyle Rittenhouse’s mom popped up on Sean Hannity’s Fox News program to complain that President Joe Biden “defamed” her son in a tweet last year by suggesting he was a white supremacist. Rittenhouse is currently on trial for allegedly fatally sh00ting two men during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin on August 25, 2020, over the police sh00ting of Jacob Blake, a Black man, Insider reports.

Appearing on Hannity’s show Thursday night, Wendy Rittenhouse told Hannity Kyle “has a lot of healing to do” and still has “nightmares” about that night.

Gee, if only Kyle hadn’t brought a g*n that night, then he wouldn’t have had to worry about it. Especially since Anthony Huber, 26, and Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, won’t ever have the chance to do any “healing.”

But according to Wendy Rittenhouse, Biden, then a presidential candidate, wrongly suggested her son was a white supremacist after the protests had concluded.

In a tweet Biden posted on September 30, 2020, a video shows the virulent situation in Kenosha and included a brief image of Kyle Rittenhouse carrying the gun that he used to sh00t Huber and Rosenbaum.

In the caption, Biden said he believed white supremacists were partially responsible for what happened and he further put the blame where it squarely belonged: on the shoulders of then-president Donald Trump, castigating him for ignoring the issue during the September 29 presidential debate held in Ohio.

“There’s no other way to put it: the President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night,” Biden posted in the tweet.

“When I saw that I was shocked, I was angry,” she said. “President Biden don’t know my son whatsoever, and he’s not a white supremacist.”

“He’s not a racist,” she continued. “And [Biden] did that for the votes. And I was so angry for a while at him and what he did to my son, he defamed him.”

In court on Wednesday Kyle Rittenhouse claimed he acted in self-defense, saying he felt “cornered” by one of the victims, Jacob Rosenbaum. And as has been reported, he had himself a little crying jag. Guess you can tell that I’m not feeling particularly sympathetic to him can’t you?

The defense rested their case last Thursday. The jury is still deliberating after 3 days.

But one thing is very clear when you have a president who says things like “you had many people in that group other than neo-Nazis and white nationalists, the press has treated them very unfairly. You also had some very fine people on both sides,” it unlocked America’s basement and racism came boiling up the stairs after a long sleep. Oh sure, there’s always been racism here. It didn’t end with the 1960s but Trump set the pot on boil and it’s one of the biggest reasons this country is marked by such protests and so much division.

I’m hoping people will bear this in mind when we finally get a verdict. And no, I’m not 100 percent sure if Rittenhouse is a racist but one thing I’m sure of is he didn’t need a gun at the protest. One that was already racially charged to begin with.
