It’s hard to forget the Duggar clan, though we may all want to. The former stars of the reality TV show 19 Kids and Counting have been in the news for a lot more than just having a big enough family that people wanted to watch a show about it.
The oldest child of the family, Josh Duggar, pleaded not guilty to some pretty serious federal charges back in April that surrounded him being in possession of some pictures he definitely should not have had. That was after he had already admitted to having inappropriate contact with five minors, four of whom were his sisters.
The show was canceled over all of that, but Josh’s dad, Jim Bob — who is running for the Arkansas Senate — thinks his family is being canceled, too. Only the ones doing the canceling aren’t the police or the courts. It’s the “radical left.”
That’s according to his campaign website:
I will not allow the liberal left, social media, or fake news to define me and my family. ‘Cancel culture’ and the radical left want to keep us from being involved in politics.
The liberals scream ‘it’s my body’ when they want to end the life of an unborn child but would gladly force mandatory vaccines upon everyone without hesitation.
Uh, JB, common sense ought to be keeping you from being involved in politics. The problem for Duggar is that it doesn’t matter what he will or will not “allow.” The voting public will make their decision as to whether they want a guy making their laws who seems to think that the law doesn’t apply to his own family.
We must fight the Biden regime, the Democratic Party, and the establishment ‘RINO’ Republicans who are pushing this Marxist agenda!
Again, “Marxism” has nothing to do with whether your son gets 20 years in the slammer.
