This site is always careful to be clear that no one is calling Boebert stupid because she had to drop out of high school and has a GED. As said before, education is a luxury (ask people in poor countries) and sometimes life prevents one from having an opportunity.

No. When we call Lauren Boebert stupid it is because she is very very stupid.

Today, Boebert went on a crazed speech that involved something about Rep. Ilhan Omar, something about marrying her brother and a million dollars, we couldn’t follow it and suspect that was the entire point.

But she clearly ranted at Eric Swalwell for his “affair” with a Chinese spy and “sleeping with the enemy.” Swalwell did date a woman who the FBI found to be a Chinese spy but there are a couple of things that would seem to matter in this story. He dated the woman before he was in Congress. More importantly, when the FBI informed him that she was a Chinese spy, he broke off the relationship. And, last, Swalwell then cooperated with the FBI.

None of that stopped Boebert and her rant about sleeping with the enemy, seen here: (And then below we have Swalwell’s response)

Hmmm, sounds terrible, doesn’t it? Until one actually knows the three facts above, all of which Boebert left out. Swalwell likely didn’t have time to explain the specifics to Boebert so he just went with a more generic, cutting, almost diabolical response:

Oh, shit! How does she even show up for work tomorrow? We don’t know. We honestly don’t know how they do it, but she will, head high, not caring at all that the facts actually bear out that she’s… barely sentient? As said, education is nice, but it can’t fix stupid, nothing can, though keeping one’s mouth shut might help quite a bit.

Swalwell was pitch-perfect.
