A report out this weekend from CNN concerning the inner workings of Vice President Kamala Harris’ office in the White House has the hosts over at Fox’s Outnumbered basically high-fiving each other.
The CNN piece details the frustration that both Harris and aides inside the West Wing have faced over tensions regarding the Vice President’s role in the administration. Tucker Carlson had already piled on, saying Kamala is “not from this country” in another segment.
But the hosts of Outnumbered went above and beyond to wring every last drop of anguish from the story.
Harris Faulkner reminded viewers that she believes Kamala is a “token” to President Joe Biden, but for a moment almost seemed to sympathize with the embattled Veep:
I don’t know what’s going on because I don’t have the sources that CNN has or the three dozen that others are talking about, but I do have the experience to know that late Sunday night responses like that, and the piling on the responsibilities that you have no hopes of completing, are not a sign of friendship or love or support.
That was perhaps the kindest part of the segment. The vast majority of commentary came in the form of mocking Kamala for having “lost” CNN as a media ally. Cohost Pete Hegseth said, “If you’ve lost CNN through exhaustive reporting that says that your first black female vice president has made herself largely irrelevant inside the White House, you really know you’re going sideways.”
But their main goal was to underscore that something bad was happening with Kamala Harris. They couldn’t quite put their fingers on it, but they were absolutely positive that she must be failing as a Vice President entirely if “liberal media” CNN was criticizing her in any way.
Harris Faulkner characterized it like a breakup:
When you lose CNN, that’s part of a problem. They have got to be in shock that the love inside the tent is not real love.
Whatever the current issue is, Kamala and Joe are actually friends, and whether it’s the fact that his numbers are low and his aides are looking for someone to blame, or something else entirely, you can bet the anchors at Fox will be there to keep reporting this through the next few news cycles.
