There is, perhaps, no better word to describe Trump’s approach to governing than “radicalization,” which Google defines as the process by which an individual or a group comes to adopt increasingly radical views in opposition to a political, social, or religious status quo.
When you think about it, it’s the only way a man like Trump even could approach politics, recall the name of psychologist Mary Trump’s book, “Too much is never enough.” In the same way, Trump can only keep his supporters (he no longer recruits new supporters, you’ve either supported him all along, knowing who he is, or never supported him) if he keeps them angry, it doesn’t work without fury. Combine radicalization with anger and one gets the dangerous type of results we saw on January 6th.
In one of Trump’s latest mailers from his PAC, one radicalized in name, “Save America,” uses language that former FBI Deputy Director Frank Figluizzi calls the “rhetoric of radicalization” to enrage his supporters into giving him money for… it sounds like 2022 elections (meaning he is going to give the money directly to support candidates? When has Trump ever just given money to others?).
Trump says that he cannot express how important the 2022 election will be. That part is probably true, Trump is probably incapable of expressing a concept more complicated than eating. But he then goes on to list what the radicalized, Democrat, extremists have done to Trump’s great nation.
The economy is “decimated.” We are not sure what he’s using as a measuring stick, but a family with three kids, aged eight, five, and one, probably think the extra $900 a month makes the economy a bit better.
Schools attempting to indoctrinate our kids? By what? This is obviously a reference to Critical Race Theory, which none of them can define but can be better categorized as “accurate” United States history. (The Democrats are their own worst enemies when naming their causes, “Critical Race Theory,” and “Defund the Police” are perfectly framed to anger Republican voters).
“Draconian mandates forced on civilians:’ Vaccinations? Like the type that schools have required since we were lucky enough to get them?
Illegal gun seizures? Never heard of one gun seizure. Perhaps Fox News found one, perhaps not. Facts aren’t needed, this is the rhetoric of radicalization:

As a former Deputy Director of the FBI, Figliuzzi is likely most concerned about the vi0lence and threat to the country post by radicalization. As said above, it results in what happened on January 6th, which we now hear Trump believes was “common sense.”
That danger is surely what scares a company man like ex-Deputy Director Figliuzzi.
