Arizona resident Micajah Joel Jackson, a 25-year-old former Marine, was among those captured by federal authorities following the riots that took place on January 6 in our nation’s capital.

Faced with charges for the crimes he committed that day, Jackson’s attorney accepted a plea deal on his behalf. Although the details of the plea bargain have not been made public in advance of his November 22 hearing, the consequences will likely not be excessive — even the outspoken Jenna Ryan who brazenly proclaimed she’d never go to prison because she was white was only sentenced to two months behind bars.

In the real world, that’s not even prison, that’s just jail. You can get that for driving erratically.

Jackson, however, feels like he’s about to be martyred. In a social media post, he declared that he would bravely face the same struggles as all other “major political figures” who were imprisoned.

All major political figures Hitler, Lenin, Dr. King, and Malcom [sic] X served time. I shall serve my time honorably. I will spread the word of Jesus Christ to my fellow inmates. I have accepted my fate in the good Lord. I advocate for peace, justice, liberty, and life.

Hardly Letters from a Birmingham Jail, is it?

He posted his message in meme format on Instagram, along with a photo of himself in his favorite “major political figure” gear — a red hat with a familiar phrase on it, and a t-shirt with a play on the Calvin and Hobbes trope of the boy urinating on the word “liberals,” only Calvin is Trump:

Should Kamala Harris Run for President in 2028?

Jackson was among those who actually breached the Capitol and was photographed with a group of Proud Boys, a white nationalist group, and the orange armband that they give to their members. So there’s really only one “major political figure” in his list there that he should be comparing himself to.
