For someone whose former last name was commonly mistaken for “Bowels,” one would think that Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, would want to avoid subjects of a posterior nature. Not so, after she claimed that President Joe Biden “broke wind” in front of her at the climate change summit in Glasgow on Monday.

“It was long and loud and impossible to ignore,” said a source from close — but not too close — to the incident. The Mail on Sunday reported that the offending flatulence escaped during a reception at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery in downtown Glasgow.

It’s hard not to crack jokes like, “More like FART gallery, am I right?” But the public hasn’t taken well to Camilla’s apparent inability to forget about the gassed-up story. “Camilla hasn’t stopped talking about it,” the source for the Mail said.

It’s hard to imagine what’s got her so worked up about it. She has had more than enough scandal in her life, stealing the most popular member of English royalty’s husband decades ago. Why she would want to keep talking about something like this?

The best thing for Camilla to do before this all gets out of hand is simply to call President Biden and clear the air.
