Pizza or tacos? People like to ask which one a person could give up if they had to choose only one for the rest of their lives. To many of us, it’s not even really a choice, pizza. Easy. Next question?
Why yes, apparently today there was another question and it involved how we on the left have managed to ruin such a magnificent dish or at least the type sold at Papa John’s.
Many might not know that Papa John’s disgraced founder and former CEO, John Schnatter, is smack in the middle of some kind of bizarre statement; He is eating 800 pizzas over 18 months to prove that the left planned his ouster.
Does he at least get to use coupons?
To review, Rawstory gives us the dirty bio as to how we got here in the first place:
Schnatter, an outspoken conservative, resigned as CEO in 2017 after controversy over his remarks attacking NFL leadership for tolerating the national anthem protests. He retained the role of chairman of the board, but was pushed out in 2018 for allegedly using the N-word in a company phone conference. He was separately accused of se*ual misconduct.
Given that Schnatter likely had a hand in picking each board member, one has to believe that they certainly had reason to take the actions they did.
“According to a profile by Bloomberg, he embarked on the carb-filled quest in an attempt to prove that the quality of Papa John’s pizzas has deteriorated since he was ousted from the company in 2018.
So, because Schnatter blames the “elite left” for his firing, he is effectively saying that the left has caused the quality of Papa John’s pizza to go down.
Who noticed? And who wants to tell him that when we on the “elite left” get together to plan our next diabolical moves, it would never involve diminishing the quality of any pizza anywhere, served by anyone.
