A very good article for this site gets over 175K eyeballs. No one on the staff has been president of the United States but if one gives this site’s owner enough time that will change unless she chooses to set her mind at becoming one of those models that are not straight out of high school, that type. No, no one here is going to be president of the United States, but we can exceed 175,000 clicks.
Donald Trump was, ostensibly, the president of the United States and despite the fact that he did color commentary for a Pay-per-view boxing match, one in which Junior even promoted saying that he was going to ask dad about Area 51 and that Dad was sure to just come right out and say it, “Yeah, we got ’em. We got saucers, triangles, Men in Black, and some really jumpy and conniving little guys with big black eyes,” they still couldn’t get 175,000 people to buy a $49.99 fight night pay-per-view.
Now, 175K would be a smashing success if the goal was to get 50K and anything above and beyond such a figure would get everyone an unexpectedly large chunk of money. Yeah. Except that wasn’t the case:
In a fight that never should have happened, Evander Holyfield was embarrassed in his return to the ring last week against Vitor Belfort, getting KO’d in the first round. But the real loser might be Triller Fight Club.
That’s funny. Trump is a fan of saying “That should never have happened.” Well, this fight should never have happened, considering the fact that Evander Holyfield, while once a champion, is in his 60s, which is about 160 in boxing years.
Per sources, #HolyfieldBelfort event totaled about 150k PPV buys between linear & digital platforms, which would make it a massive $ loser for Triller. At 150k it would gross about $7.5M from ppv, not remotely close to covering even the purses, not to mention rest of expenses.

According to boxing journalist Dan Rafael, sources say the fight generated around 150,000 PPV buys. If that number holds, it will represent a massive fail for Triller, who promoted and sold the PPV event for $49.99. In comparison, Mike Tyson’s return to the ring against Roy Jones Jr. last year surpassed a reported 1.6 million PPV buys, or more than 10 times the reported amount of Triller’s Holyfield bout.
Do we need to point out that the Mike Tyson fight didn’t have Trump and Junior providing color commentary? Thus, we’re left to judge whether the fight stunk enough (it did) that it truly wouldn’t matter if God herself provided color commentary, or if people actually stayed away because it was Trump. We should also note that we’d love to charge $49.99 to read our stories, but we know to stay in our lane, and while $7 million would cover our expenses, falling a couple million short is just embarrassing, you know?
