Look, if Newsmax wanted to criticize Donald Trump, they would be MSNBC or PBS, okay? They do not exist to criticize the exalted one. It is a bad idea for human beings to criticize the one on most high. It violates their First (and only) Commandment, “though shall have no gods before me.” So don’t you dare come on to that station and pull your, “But Trump bears some blame here because…” even if it’s true because it’s not true, okay?

Newsmax’s Grant Stinchfield simply went red card when someone violated the first (and only) commandment when he screamed and cut off a guest for the mildest of criticism of Donald Trump over Afghanistan, a country and war that, we would think all could agree, every president bears some responsibility.

Stinchfield spoke on Wednesday night with Joe Saboe, an Iraq War veteran. Saboe had made news lately due to his work to help people flee Afghanistan after the Taliban’s takeover. Stinchfield set up the dynamic to his liking, waiting for Saboe to comment. Stinchfield said, from Mediaite:

I can tell you, this didn’t happen under President Trump, and I know there’s a lot of people on the Left that want to try to blame President Trump. He wanted out of Afghanistan real bad. He was real frustrated, not being able to get out, but he didn’t pull out because he knew this would happen. In fact, we all did.

Saboe didn’t accept Stinchfield’s description and said: “We followed this closely from multiple administrations. We know that Trump’s administration’s efforts here were fairly weak, that they were trying to limit the number of people that would get out…”

Stinchfield started talking about being “low on time” and tried to end the segment, but Saboe kept speaking, which caused Stinchfield to repeatedly shout “Cut him off now!”

“You’re not gonna blame this on President Trump on my show! Don’t come on this program and take the talking points of the left and blame President Trump! That’s not helping anybody!”

“The Biden administration screwed this up from the very start!”

There is a lesson to all this. One is most welcome on Newsmax, but the first commandment shall be abided lest the wrath of almighty Stinchfield strike thee down with a great vengeance, “Cut him off!” Thankfully, it wasn’t truly old testament and they only cut Saboe’s feed, and not feet, or head.
