You do know that the Evangelical Far-Right is a moneymaking racket, correct?

Yes, yes, they want power and they get it all too often, ask Mitch McConnell. Somehow they have minority rule down. Since 1992, the Republicans have won a majority in a presidential election exactly once, in 2004. Yet they own the SCOTUS. So, yes, they do make their attempts at power and get it because this country isn’t a true democracy. But that is okay because the far right’s raison d’être, in or out of power, is to make money.

One can tell by just how many damned conferences they have, each one charging admission to hear the same thing over and over. They had another conference this weekend:

The TexasYouth Summit was a two-day event, ending on Saturday. Its website says that the conference is about “empowering youth to be catalysts to win the culture war”. (It is about making money.)

Christian Collins, founder and executive director of the summit, writes: “The mission of the Texas Youth Summit is to identify, educate, and train students to promote principles of fiscal responsibility, free market, limited government, American Exceptionalism, and the Judeo-Christian principles this country was founded upon.” (It is about making money, and the United States was founded upon the idea that we wouldn’t live under “Judeo-Christian” values. There were no “Judeos” in the United States at its founding, and yes – we recognize they’re speaking of the book, the Abrahamic religions, leaving out Islam, of course.)

Whenever there is money to be – and we’ve established this is a moneymaker – a Trump won’t be far away. Junior was either invited or invited himself and he shared some of his wisdom, most of it involved the United States being “weak” under Biden. Nothing says “strength” like an asshole leader that everyone hates because he’s dumber than a third-grader and a bully.

Junior pulled out this wisdom for the Texas youth:

In his speech on Friday, Trump Jr said that “when you exude weakness”, what happens is that “predators attack”. “This is science, right? This is pure biology. Predators pray on the weak.”

No doubt about it. A weak United States government allowed one of the world’s most dangerous predators in, right through the front door, and then weakly acted as though it’s tough to breathe through masks. We lost hundreds of thousands to that predator, almost lost our weak, punk, leader. Indeed, this predator was one of the first to run roughshod right through the White House. This is science, pure biology. One is not “more dead” if one passes from a bomb rather than a virus.

We were never weaker than we were under Trump. Biden attacked it with vaccines and for a time, had that predator stopped in its tracks. Keep talking biology and science, Junior, you keep making our case.
