During last night’s rally in Cullman, Alabama, Trump talked about, in no particular order:
-The Big Lie
– The perfection of his administration
-He had the most beautiful chocolate cake with President Xi while perfectly pulling out of Syria (over about 72 hours).
-The country has now fallen apart, it’s American carnage all over again
-Too bad because he left the country in a perfect condition
-The Wall was nearly finished, 500 miles was done, it would have only taken a month or two for Biden to complete it.
-Biden is letting every immigrant in, including criminals
-He won the election, everyone says that if he got 65 million votes he would win. He got 75 million, no way he lost
-He won
– Can you imagine if a COVID surge hit while he was president? What they’d do to him.
In other words, it was your normal typical rally. There was one exception. Trump actually advocated that his disciples, cult followers, get the vaccine. Shock face, he said something responsible. As highlighted by Bill Kristol, who is not exactly a good guy, but is a never Trumper and never MAGA:
In the face of boos, Trump quickly backs off urging vaccination: “That’s all right. You got your freedoms. But I happened to take the vaccine.” This is the mainstream GOP—not quite embracing anti-vaxx lunacy, but not willing to speak truth to their followers. Even to save lives.

Trump is not used to being booed at his own rallies and, thus – we’re sure you noticed, he backed right off, talking about people’s freedoms. This, of course, brings up a problematic question; When does their “freedom” butT up against our freedom to not have to confront COVID at every turn? Not have COVID, the delta variant that can breakthrough vaccines, cause a surge despite the fact that there is a perfect vaccine available?
He got booed. This is where the mainstream Republican party stands right now, further to the Right of Trump. #MAGA
