We have already – just today, Friday – had to report on a fundraising email in which Don Jr. said that American teachers are a bigger threat to the country than the Taliban. We absolutely agree that the threat to the United States is far greater from within than any outside the United States. The FBI has already told us as such. The biggest terror threat to the U.S. comes from the MAGA right, and that was as true twelve years ago as it is today.

Now, we have example of the MAGA right that sees the Taliban as heroes, to a certain extent, in that the Taliban was able to sweep over the country in a matter of weeks. From CNN’s Donie O’Sullivan, interviewing a Marjorie supporter at an event in Iowa.

“There’s millions of guns here. You know, it took eleven days for them to take over Afghanistan. Just ask… how many days it’ll take for the patriots to take over this country.

Guns don’t help take over a country unless people are afraid you might use those guns. There have always been doubts on the left about whether any of these MAGAs would even be brave enough to attempt anything. Those doubts are a bit less clear after January 6th. They did act on their defiance, but they left their guns at home.

O’Sullivan couldn’t comprehend what he was hearing: “You don’t want that to happen here, do you?”

The answer was a bit defensive, but then aggressive: “I don’t want it to happen! But if our country and our government and our Congress and Biden don’t get their heads out of their butts, it’s going to happen! I assure you, it’s coming!“

“It took 11 days for them to take over Afghanistan… How many days would it take the patriots to take over this country?”
