The enemy of my enemy is my friend?

Trump seems to be taking the old saying to a remarkable level. Since that point in time when it became obvious that Biden’s withdrawal plan was going to be extremely difficult and that the U.S. was set up to be made to look like a disaster, Trump and his family (Don Jr. and Eric) have been nearly Taliban cheerleaders.

Now Trump is essentially saying that the Taliban bested U.S. special forces and regular troops in the fight for Afghanistan by talking about their strength as troops and, evidently, their storied past. We aren’t sure if it matters, but the Taliban weren’t around during the first Gulf War, whereas the United States military goes back – sort of, to chasing the British out of Chesapeake Bay, but what’s 700 years in the galactic scale, right?.

The Taliban, good fighters, I will tell you, good fighters. You have to give them credit for that. They’ve been fighting for a thousand years. What they do is they fight,” Trump said on Fox News’ “The Sean Hannity Show” on August 17.

“The Taliban has circled the airport, and who knows if they’re going to treat us right? All of a sudden, they’ll say – well, frankly, if they were smart, they’d really – and they are smart. They are smart. They should let the Americans out,” Trump said to Hannity.

Too bad that while the Taliban were being smart, so very smart, they were dealing with an American government that was so dumb, so very dumb. But, hey, what is one going to expect from a group with over 25 years experience? Smart stuff!

People were rightfully furious:

Should Kamala Harris Run for President in 2028?
