The Taliban will be a brutal regime – a government.

They are committed to a strict interpretation of Sharia Law and when we say strict, we’re not engaging in hyperbole. Men are often required to greet each other with “Allah Akbar,” or God is Great. Things are much worse for women and especially girls. An entire generation of Afghan girls have grown up under essentially western rules (if they chose to do so), they went to school, dressed in normal clothing, and were the equal of men (or close enough), and now – very suddenly – under a brutal regime, any of that “normal stuff” will lead to very bad ends for these girls, often the worst. It is very hard for parents of teen girls, and everyone else, to even imagine.

There is nothing “funny” or remotely relatable to the Taliban’s censorship that is about to come.

Moreover, the Trumps and the MAGAs have yet to learn the difference between government and private companies. The government didn’t kick Trump off Twitter and Facebook. The Taliban will function as Afghanistan’s government. They likely will limit the internet in near totality. Twitter and Facebook no more need to accept speech on their platforms than The Gap needs to allow you to walk in and start talking about how Trump is hemorrhoid on the body politic and that Junior is one of the few who makes Trump look like a genius.

But when it comes to censorship and what the Taliban is ready to do to girls and the population, Junior thinks it’s no different than what Facebook and Twitter do to his family:

Should Kamala Harris Run for President in 2028?

It is not a U.S. company’s job to promote freedom of speech. Should we ask the MAGAs whether Hobby Lobby should allow the ACLU to set up abortion rights stands inside the stores, Junior? LOL, also the same thing. But it was Junior’s support of what the Taliban said that had people most upset:

Yes, that’s the problem. We most certainly can believe that Junior would compare Twitter and Facebook to the Taliban.
