What does Kayleigh McEnany know about presidential speeches? And, even more ridiculously, what does she know about the state of things in Afghanistan? We learned today, very little about either one.

For reasons passing understanding, Kayleigh believed that we all couldn’t wait to hear how she assessed President Biden’s speech, which was one of the most consequential speeches a president has given in some time.

It was a very humble speech, one in which he admitted that the buck stopped with him and he owned any failures associated with the withdrawal. Perhaps that was the party that Kayleigh couldn’t understand?

It is possible that President Biden’s speech wasn’t meant to wow anyone, nor score political points. He gave his reasons for bringing our troops home and owning up to the problems, so we’re a bit confused as to what is so disastrous.

Honestly, this is likely a big part of it. Success under Trump involved going out and being “tougher” (what was the only word Trump cared about? Toughness or weakness). Biden didn’t “act” enough like a winner, because there are aspects of this war we did not win. There are certainly elements of the war that some very good Afghanis lost. A lot of interpreters and others that assisted us are now left to fend for themselves.

Yes the deal TFG made with NATO to give the country back to Taliban in FEB 2020 was a DISASTER.

He should've had the Afghan government that we spent over $80 billion to train their army involved in the talks.

Everything TFG touched is a DISASTER.

There is a lot to the above, too. We aren’t experts in Afghan policy, but we do know this. As of a few hours ago, the Russian embassy wasn’t touched. Make of that what one will.

THAT is what it was. THAT is what Kayleigh has never heard from the President of the United States. She might’ve heard it under Obama, but was too raacccci, too immature to really figure it out.

We suspect we know what was disastrous to Kayleigh. The humble honesty.
