It is hard to describe the various components to Marjorie Taylor-Greene’s …personality? About the only thing that could come close to all-encompassing is basically what she is, a lukewarm intelligence online conspiracy freak who may or may not use some “extra boost” stuff found at various gyms like hers, who then, against all previously held notions of our nation’s sophistication, got elected to congress. There, we described her.
But her latest effort in throwing some red meat to the Hannity hangers is hall of fame stupid and, more seriously, quite cruel. We need to move on and “live” because none of us live forever.
“Because here’s the problem … once the vaccines are approved by the FDA, we’re going to see the mandates for vaccines ramp up far more than they are right now. And I fear they’ll become law in some cities and some states. Biden would love to make it the law of the land.”
Look, lady, Biden would likely make it the law of the land that each person must follow their doctor’s advice, he doesn’t want to dictate to each unique person. It is because he’s smarter than you and when it comes to healthcare, we ask healthcare professionals, not your Facebook uncle who saw a “thing.”
“Again, I’m not anti-vax. I’m completely for people being allowed to make choices, medical choices for themselves and their families and I don’t think the FDA should approve a vaccine that doesn’t seem to be that effective, especially with COVID-19 raging all over the country — at least that’s what the media tells us every single day.”
Lying about the vaccine makes you anti-vax and that’s why she is so dangerous. “Doesn’t seem to be all that effective.” These vaccines have been almost miraculously effective, overwhelmingly better than the initial cautious predictions. A “great” new vaccine fought off 70-80% of cases, these fought off 98-99% and essentially zeroed out deaths. The delta variant has thrown a huge curveball in that it’s breaking through more often, and Pfizer isn’t as good with delta as Moderna, both of them still keep the delta variants out of the hospital, which would seem to be important to most. But to Marj…
“So while the news tries to tell us the hospitals are slam-packed with COVID, that’s just not the case. Everybody needs to get back down to common sense and remember that, you know, we’re human, we can’t live forever, we’re going to catch all kinds of diseases and illnesses and other viruses, and we get hurt sometimes.”
Yes, let’s get down to common sense. Let’s not drink eight Coors Lights, drive down a dirt road in an old shaky pickup at 90 mph without a seatbelt on even though we can’t live forever. Asking people to take the vaccine and mask-up is basically like asking them to not drive down that road.
We catch all kinds of ear infections and colds, but we have a unique one washing over the country right now and we have what amounts to a cure. You can’t live forever as “common sense”?
