CNN’s New Day took on the only political story to really tell this morning.

As we reported all weekend, the NYT’s blockbuster report released Saturday afternoon changed everything. Trump’s last acting-Attorney-General, the person Trump himself ordered to sign the fraud letter and leave the rest to [Trump] and Congress, testified to the DOJ Inspector General, Friday and the Senate Judiciary Committee, Saturday… for seven hours.

His testimony changes everything. Rosen’s testimony ties Trump directly to the plot to claim the entire “rigged” thing and – most importantly – January 6th. Now, everyone around Trump who played any role in the situation, including, possibly, one Senator Ted Cruz, who sits on the Judiciary Committee and knows the seven hours of testimony, everyone is going to be fighting to get their place in line – hopefully soon – to give information on others and try to work out immunity deals for themselves, because it’s all falling apart now –  as noted on CNN this morning (Video Below):

John Berman began: “Jeffrey Rosen is talking. The former acting attorney general who was running the Justice Department in the days before the insurrection, isn’t just talking but wanting to talk. wanting to give information at this point. What’s the significance about what we’re hearing?”

Conservative Amanda Carpenter said: I mean, I think it just shows how dedicated Donald Trump was to this effort. If you don’t mind me looking back a little bit, I’m a little frustrated because this would have been very relevant information during the second impeachment trial. Clearly you have people who were willing to talk and maybe they just needed the cover of the DOJ ruling saying they would be free to do so, but the second impeachment was really — this is the same as the first.

Or how about just a month ago, Mr. Attorney General Merrick Garland! Are we meant to believe that all this went on under your nose? Staff knew! Staff always knows, and somehow you didn’t? Or was it that you were trying to protect DOJ until the NYT blew the lid off? We are starting to wonder whether we trust Merrick Garland at all. Time will tell. Very soon.

Carpenter continued: It’s Donald Trump abusing official resources in order to get his way politically and stop Joe Biden from becoming president. I mean, it’s clearly a pattern here and so, I am very thankful that we have a January 6th select committee because I’ve got to believe there are many more people like Rosen. So once they have this legal, clear pathway in order to talk, they’re going to sing like canaries.

Oh, they might be singing LONG before then. The House committee has no criminal prosecution ability. DOJ does, and DOJ just heard a long story that they know Congress is going to hear. If I was going to sing, I’d be in line at the door this morning.
