Well, no one can blame Donald Trump for being scared at this point. When one learns through the media that the Congressional Oversight Committee appointed by self-described archenemy Nancy Pelosi is investigated your attempted coup and they find paper and testimony that all but proves you demanded your legal soldiers to announce fraud and then leave the rest to you and certain members of Congress, you should be scared. Those members are going to get deals, bro. Maybe not a great deal, but better than going it alone. It would appear that you’ve fallen into your bucket of …

So of course you will try to distract the country. Of course, you would. We would.

But for the love of God, why on earth would you use another failure to distract from the bigger failure? It is like saying, “Don’t pay attention to what I did wrong here, it’s far better to pay attention to what I did wrong over here.”)

Donald Trump put out a short statement yesterday as part of his panic attack. He did nothing but cite a suspect Rasmussen poll put out by OAN – don’t laugh yet, that’s not the punchline… well, okay, chuckle for a second – and the OAN  headline read:

Poll: 66% Of Americans Would Rather See BLM Riots Investigated Over Jan. 6 Capital Protests

Pretend for just one minute this was true. Pretend. Do you, Donald “TFG,” recall who led the Senate between June 2020 and January 4, 2021? We will help. It was Mitch McConnell. Furthermore, do you recall who led the Article II executive branch from June 2020 to January 20th, 2021? If 66% of Americans wanted those “BLM riots” far more seriously investigated (they were not BLM riots, BLM was almost solely peaceful, they were Antifa, anarchists, and yes – agitators on your side), guess – just guess, who had the power to initiate those investigations, and yet failed that 66% of Americans?

Additionally, the Rassmussen poll was released on July 24, 2021. And there’s another little issue with that poll. The House investigations into January 6th had already been set and were about to begin! It was happening. So, of the “Americans” (likely mostly white and male) who answered the poll, they did so knowing that the January 6th one was about to start and no one was talking about a June 2020 investigation. We also wonder what there was to investigate in the summer of 2020. There were spontaneous riots. Most due to the senseless deaths of black men at the hands of the police. In essence, we just completed the investigation.

And yet Trump had his statement at the ready:

Trump has an interesting definition of “love.” Trump already told us that there was so much love in the air on January 6th, while police were overwhelmed within an inch of their lives, we suppose that in the same way, 2020 was the summer of “love,” when police continued to shoot unarmed black men, resulting in protests.

We think we see a link. Trump loved watching an army of MAGA supporters attempt to shut down the Capitol in his name, and he loved feeling powerful in screaming at governors to get tougher. This is Trump’s idea of love and always has been, domination, worshipped, and keeping real plans hidden.

Very typical. But we know a couple of things. One, Trump is too stupid to realize he just posted a stat demonstrating his own incompetency, and two, Trump is utterly scared to death. Makes total sense.
