It begins tomorrow.

The House’s investigation into January 6th, all of it, from the experience of those who were there defending the Capitol, to those who – perhaps – planned it well ahead of time, begins on Tuesday. It is critical to get the meetings started because Congress traditionally takes an August recess, and the Democrats must at least get them started and cannot let time continue to keep slipping by. The event recedes further into the memory hole and it allows the GOP, perhaps some that have something to hide, to plan further ahead of time to hide more.

Nicolle Wallace once again proved that she is this site’s favorite daytime TV analyst, with the smartest show on the network, at least prior to Rachel. Nicolle laid out the stakes, especially for the Republican party. Is that not odd? A crazed group of extremists descends upon the Capitol, threatening the lives of the Republican Vice President and the Republican Minority leader, and yet the Republicans are terrified, because – as Wallace put it, the hearings will disgrace the Republican party.

We cannot believe that it’s taken this long, but we can only hope and we have more trust in Nicolle than most.

Wallace read aloud one account from a Capitol Hill Police Officer, Police Sgt. Aquilino Gonell, one who was under siege by the “Back the Blue” party, (Apparently they only back the blue when it goes after Black Americans):

“I can be fine now and see or hear something and next thing I get tears and get emotional. “I tried to be strong. I tried not to show my emotion.”

As reported in the Washington Post, and cited by Rawstory, the report revealed that rioters tried to take his ballistic shield, threw a speaker at him, hit him in the face with a pole, and then sprayed him with chemical irritants.

If the attackers happened to be black and the incident occurred during a patrol in Chicago, Officer Acquillno would have had every right to fire and defend himself. In this instance, he did not have that opportunity, these people would have been “victims” of him defending himself. Instead, he was made the victim.

These are the stories referenced and these are the ones that the Republican party are trying to hide, and these, collectively, will lead to the horror and disgrace the Republican party has become. Now we need to know how high the planning went.
