There’s no doubting that the number of Republicans who turned into blithering Trump sycophants after Donald Trump’s 2016 inauguration is long.
Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, however, is the most pitiful of them all, in my opinion.
We’ll never know what kind of dirt Trump has on the southeastern congressman, but we saw Graham go from loudly lambasting and assaulting the then-Republican presidential candidate to practically dropping to his knees to kiss Donnie’s lifted shoes nearly overnight.
Graham’s sole personality attribute for the past four years has been “Trump supporter,” and now that Donald has been removed from power, it appears that Graham is looking for some meaning in his life, which he appears to have found in the shape of a racist, prejudiced chicken business.
Graham’s rash tweet last week, in which he declared that he’s eager to “go to war” for Chik-Fil-A as students at Notre Dame protested the controversial fast food chicken shop on campus, appears to have been taken literally, given that there’s no actual “war” to be had.
Graham recently appeared on Fox News, where he shamelessly promoted the Xtian fast food eatery because, evidently, he doesn’t have anything better to do.
“It’s the number one fast food company in America,” Graham plugged on the Fox segment with Sean Hannity, “It’s good food, good service at a reasonable price.”
He went on to defend the Chikfila franchise’s owners, the Cathy family, as “religious people” who have the right to be racist crap if they so choose.
