We expect this tweet to be deleted, quite quickly, and given that we happened to be on it almost immediately, we’re punting it right out down below. But we now have time for a little context. Either Jim Banks and staff are so clueless that they will completely fall for obvious satire, or, are such sick fffff ducks, that they think that tweeting out satire about Democrats’ efforts to stop COVID is funny.

Either way, many of his constituents will be fooled into believing this was serious stuff, and we suspect Banks was, too. Additionally, if your constituents have to guess as to whether your post is a satire or not, you’re in a bad way.

The Babylon Bee – as we’re sure most readers know – is sort of an upstart “The Onion,” (Which, until knocked off, is the heavyweight champion as “The World’s Finest News Source). That is no put down to the Babylon Bee, that is a tough market, in a tough industry, and – as easy as it seems to write hilarious stuff, ahem, it isn’t easy. It is extremely difficult.

Writing satire can be so hard that some clueless MAGA-GOP Representatives, like Jim Banks, can tweet out a story that contains the following paragraph-propaganda, and – quite possibly, think it’s real:

U.S.—As Cubans cry for “freedom”—a common refrain of right-wing radicals— Democrats are starting to worry that this dangerous movement could gain momentum in the U.S.

“These Cubans—or Q-bans as I call them—have obviously been influenced by some radical Trump-type figure,” said California Governor Gavin Newsom. “I’ve worked hard in my state to clamp down on freedom in order to fight COVID and climate change, and the last thing we need is people now thinking liberty is a good thing.”

Democrats have made dictating to American citizens what they can do a big part of all their plans, and this strategy has been especially prominent during the pandemic. Now many governors and other Democratic politicians are afraid outside influences could turn people against their careful plans, such as randomly telling people when to wear masks.

As we said, either Banks believed this to be the type of news that the MAGAs need to hear in order to fight “radical” Joe Biden and the nation’s “leftists.” Or, he’s one sick person who should not be on the net.

We should all be so lucky as to have a Gov. Whitmer, and Newsom comes close enough for most. Twitter. Went. Off.
