Last week, we reported on a detail found in Michael Bender’s explosive new book, “Frankly, We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story of How Trump Lost, that Trump was so angry about the “bunker leak” that he wanted the leaker found, charged with treason and put to death.

We believe him. In part, because today we’re getting more details, including the one in the title. Some aides describe it as the angriest they had ever seen Trump. From Business Insider:

According to CNN, Bender wrote that the president “boiled over about the bunker story as soon as they arrived and shouted at them to smoke out whoever had leaked it.”

“It was the most upset some aides had ever seen the president,” the book continued, according to CNN. “‘Whoever did that, they should be charged with treason!’ Trump yelled. ‘They should be exec*ted!'”

Stable minds don’t work that way. A stable mind that is president of the United States could go right out onto the grass the next morning and confidently say; “Yes, I went down into a bunker last night. The situation was unpredictable, I was unnerved, and it was my choice to go down and I believe it was the right choice for me and the security of the White House,” and then confidently call for the next question. The answer might hurt a little politically, but the self-confidence in delivering a calm and rational answer is downright Obamaniscent. There was no drama with Obama.

But Trump’s mind isn’t stable and the more we read, the more we think we had a very narrow miss (so far) with respect to Trump as the head of a country. Saddam, Kim, MBS, Putin, all had people killed for displeasing them. Trump wanted that power, we truly believe he wanted the power to take full vengeance out on people.

He likely wants that power more than ever now.

For now, the world is safe without Trump and we can just enjoy the moment, and we’re going to start with this being a perfect moment to bring back Sarah Cooper, and “How to Bunker,” leading off our #BunkerBoy celebration.
