Sometimes, one has to post articles on Trump for the sole reason that they’re great entertainment.

It is a little bit like when they had comic strips in the newspaper. Comics had nothing to do with news, it was just a good light-hearted moment.

Trump is one of the world’s biggest threats right now and certainly the biggest to this country, he deserves coverage on all that. So there is very little about him that one should consider “light-hearted.” But we suspect that laughing at him is okay from time to time, and a lot of people seem to agree.

So, that being said, it’s pretty funny – and obvious – that Trump took credit for Branson’s crew reaching space today. Trump’s always good for a surprise. It’s not surprising that he took credit.

It is just how inventive he can be when complimenting himself. While watching the launch this morning, I suspect no one thought “Trump will be saying he is the reason all this could happen” because it’s just too insane, until it happens. Then it’s normal, it becomes, “Of course, he did.”

Here’s our boy, coming in right on time:

I made it possible for them to do this,’ Trump told Fox News as he took credit for the revival of space programs and the private sector investment in forward movement.

Should Kamala Harris Run for President in 2028?

‘I actually said to my people: Let the private sector do it,’ he told Sunday Morning Futures host Maria Bartiromo in a phone-in interview. ‘These guys want to come in with billions of dollars. Let’s lease them facilities because you need certain facilities to send up rockets, and we have those facilities.’

Good story, bro. They’ve only been working on this for, like, 12 years… which means Obama caused all this to happen! Just kidding. It happened because these guys are rich enough to buy NASA and that’s nothing to be proud of as a nation or as people.

The ex-president’s comments come as Branson, an English business magnate with a net worth of $5.9 billion, went to space in his own spaceship.

‘Better him than me. I would rather see Richard in the plane today than me in the spaceship,’ Trump told Bartiromo. ‘But if Richard loves it, and Bezos loves it, and a lot of rich guys love space.’

No. No – let’s clarify that. Trump would rather see anyone up in space than him because he’s a big wimp who never does anything more physical than golf. He worries that his Diet Coke will kill him if not served properly. Then fcks around and gets COVID… even God needs a good laugh at Trump, it would seem. Trump would never take risks.

And, no, it is not “a lot of rich guys love space.” It is “a lot of people (not guys) love space.” Because just about every human being loves the idea of going up to space. Trump believes billionaires are the only ones with aspirations, everyone else just cares about church and NASCAR.

Let’s all take one great lesson out of this. On your next flight, get a window seat (somehow) and spend all two hours staring out the window, and realize that for 10,000 years, people dreamed of having the opportunity to do what you now consider a pain in the ass. Flying to Dallas to see that guy who needs… whatever the reason. Sure, space is the next thing. But it’s only been 120 years since “flying” was the thing and now people are furious when Delta is 30 minutes late.

Amazing that Trump flies, though we’re sure he could find a way to take credit for it.
