Jenn Psaki cut to the chase today and said what needed to be said with one of the strongest accusations to ever come out of the White House Press Room.
She referenced the needless deaths due to COVID, putting much of the responsibility on the Republican governors, saying that they are “killing” their own citizens. And, as strong as that accusation may be, and it is, it is also true. We don’t even recall how the vaccine got politicized because, during one of the last briefings before Christmas, Kayleigh pronounced the vaccine to be “the Trump vaccine.”
If it was the Trump vaccine then (and he still takes credit for having it complete), at what point did it become “bad”? Was it when Biden took over and set a goal? He wanted 70% of the American public fully vaccinated prior to July 4th.
Biden didn’t fail, Americans failed, specifically MAGAs, who are specifically led by their state (with respect to the distribution of vaccine). We have read stories of MAGAs who, upon arriving at the hospital, refuse to believe they have COVID, probably the Delta variant, and could die. The federal government is doing its part, but the MAGAs don’t listen to the federal government. They listen to the pols they trust. The other MAGAs, endorsed by Trump. (This is so sick and insane).
They need MAGA governors telling their citizens to get this done. But they won’t. And so, as Jen said, they are literally killing people. Does anyone need that clarified?

The door-to-door policy sounds “scary” to people who are afraid of the government. There are some people with legitimate reasons, immigrants and Black Americans, but it is nothing more than outreach to the people that simply cannot get to the vaccination sites.
It sounds as though the White House has had it with the MAGA disinformation. Yes, there are some risks with any new vaccine. But in every trial run so far, the risk is so much smaller than that posed by COVID. Even some people that survive COVID are “walking wounded” with scarred hearts and lungs. No wonder the White House is furious. Someone has to save these lives.
